Taking a Break

I went to the bar to take a break like Remus told me. He should be taking a break too, but he is too stubborn. I order my drink then sit at a table. It's hard to be relaxing in a time like this.

Ravyn had been working in the bar during the summer non stop. She sighed as some one came in, they had walked up and ordered something. She knew the person who came in from around. Ravyn had brought the lady her drink. Setting it next to her, she walks back to the bar.

"So, how is business here?" I asked trying make conversation. I hated silence.

Ray looked up, "It 'as it's moments, today's slow."

"A lot of people are busy nowadays, but its always good to take a break from it all. At least that's what my husband keeps telling me."

"Vith everyzhing zhat's going on, it's more zhan good to take a break, unfortunately some of us don't get zhat break."

"I know how that is. My husband had to force me. I take my work too seriously. I'm October Lupin by the way.

Ravyn gave her a half smile, "I'm Ravyn but 'ou can call me Alex."

"I think I have heard my husband talk about you. When he was teaching Defense against the Dark arts he talked about all of his students...well, almost all."

Ravyn kind of flinched, "Oh? Vhat did he say 'bout me?"

"Just that you were a good student. I think Remus misses teaching. He did enjoy it." I smiled.

Ravyn sighed, not many students or adults knew that she was Snape's daughter, "'Ee Vas a good teacher, all Zhough I only got 'em for about a month."

"Well, you must have impressed him in that one month. Do you happen to know a boy named Jason?"

"I 'ad a couple classes vith 'em."

"He's my son. A little show off and trouble maker."

"Vell, 'ee does get into trouble vhile I am around."

"I suppose he gets that from me and his uncle." Sadness washed over me. "Of course he never really knew his uncle."

Ray didn't know what to say, so she turned and got herself a butterbeer, then said, "you ver a trouble maker?"

I chuckled. "Oh yes. I blame my brother for that. I followed him and his best friend around and together they made so much trouble. I idolized my brother so I did what he did and soon became a trouble maker myself. I've gotten detention many times and many lectures from the professors, but that never stopped me."

"Vell, I don't know 'oo I take after. My fazer vas a..." she paused searching for the word, "a loner. And vell I 'ave no clue 'oo my mozer is."

"I'm sure you take after both. All kids take after their parents just some traits are more noticeable. Its obvious my son takes after me, but he does have some of his father in him."

"Vell, let 'ope it's only my fazer."

"Why? Do you not want to have traits of your mother?"

"Vell, Ze things I 'ave been told 'bout 'er I vould razher not. Besides my fazer is a good man."

"Who is you father?"
